WANTED>>>SMALL CABIN IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE!

There are days when this big old world and the people in it get to me sometimes and I have to back off and get quiet for a while. These are the days when I want to get a cabin in the woods about 100 miles away from the nearest person or town.
It usually only lasts for a day and I come back to where I am supposed to be.
Then the next day someone will call and need prayer or has issues and wants to set up spiritual coaching sessions or desires a reading and I am back on track.

There are days when even for me meditation and prayer don't do the trick. I always ask God what is it I am supposed to know for my greatest and highest good and eventually the insights and the peace comes to me and I am off and running to the next place I need to be.

I have to honor the fact that what I do can be difficult at times and I need to do like I see my animals do and just relax and do mostly nothing for a while and clear my energy field and get grounded. Those are the days when I can be heard to utter...Peace! Peace! Peace! What better mantra could I have?

My room mate just gives me plenty of space and does her own thing and just a moment ago brought me a small bowl of ice cream that she said was really yummy
and went on her way. It may not seem like a big thing but it was. It was delicious and soothing and I was grateful for her gesture of kindness in the midst of a storm that is passing as I write this.

So to all my fellow spiritual light workers...I advise to take a day when the weight of the world and all the suffering gets to you and allow yourself to recharge and renew. You will come back stronger than ever. When I feel anger or sadness coming on and I just feel I need to tell the next stupid cruel person to kiss my grits,
I know it is time to just be with God for the entire day and night.
Peace, Peace, Peace!

Getting a Failing Grade In Home Economics

When I was a young teenager there was a class for girls called Home Economics where we were taught how to bake, sew, set a table etc. I hated this class because I was already doing these things and had been doing it for years and my great ability to do these things very well made the other girls shun me. I cooked, cleaned, mended and took care of my four siblings because I was the oldest. I was willingly and not so willingly my mothers helper.
All the responsibility chaffed at me and I felt bound to eternal chores. I felt that I would excel at this class but this was not the case. The problem was I could have taught the class. Everything was easy for me. My class mates were envious and since I was the new kid in school as was often the case, this was reason enough to bully and pick on me.
After a while I would turn in sloppy work or burn the cookies, thinking this would turn things around. It didn't. I failed the class. The other girls still did not accept me. My teacher sat me down and asked me why I was doing so well at the beginning and then was unproductive as she put it.
I told her I was already doing all these things at home and had been for years and the class was a mistake for me. I said that there was nothing she could teach me that I didn't already know. She got huffy and told me that I would receive a failing grade for her class and I did.
Not too long after that my family moved again. I have thought back to that class and realize now that I should have allowed myself to do well at that class and get the well-deserved A. Because of other peoples opinions and my desire to be accepted. I bowed under peer pressure and did the opposite and got an F in the process.
So this begs the question, "how many times do we show ourselves as less than we are simply to fit in?" No matter what the circumstances are we must do our best and shine
even if it makes someone else uncomfortable. Maybe if I had fit in with these girls I may have found a bunch of girls that may have led me down the wrong path. I have learned through the years that accepting and loving myself is one of the things I had to do to come to a sense of peace in this world.
God has given me so many gifts and I am going to unwrap all of them before this physical life is over. www.makeachoicenow.com

Doe And Fawn

In the cemetery after the grass had been freshly cut came the mother and the baby.
They were very tentative at first. The doe was hungry and the smell of the fresh cut grass was intoxicating to her. I watched them from a distance. They knew I was there but did not seem alarmed. I sent feelings of love and peace to them and let the mother know through my thought projections that all was well. I kept expecting them to run off into the surrounding woods but they didn’t. I was so grateful to be able to witness them. The beauty of the doe and her fawn will stay with me forever.
I decided to sit on the ground and just watch. After the mother had nibbled for a while on the grass she came closer and suddenly just laid down. I could not have been more thrilled. She was totally relaxed and just needed to rest. I only dared to take one photo. They remained there after I got up to leave. I have often wondered if I had some food that day if I could have fed them from my hands.

That morning I had been feeling restless and ill at ease for some inexplicable reason and couldn’t seem to tap into my spiritual center. I had been feeling this way for a few days and couldn’t shake it off.

I grabbed my camera, a blanket and some writing materials and set off to find the peace I had asked God for that day. There are no coincidences in life. This is what was sent to me to experience. I originally wanted to take some photos of the memorial stones. There were some beautiful grave stones in this cemetery. I was currently writing a series of articles on death to help people understand it.
As I watched this scene unfold in front of me I was filled with peace and the message I got was clear. I had been immersed in this subject of death for so long and had given so many workshops on it and grief counseling that I had forgotten to fill up my own cup. I was too busy filling up the cup of others. My cup was almost empty. No wonder I was feeling restless and not at peace. I was being shown a wonderful example of life and renewal. I understood and took the guidance that God had given me on that day and slowed down a bit and added back into my life the things that always gave me human joy. It was time to refill my own cup. When I got home I took a long scented bubble bath and played some of my favorite music. I did some gardening that always grounds me. That night I made a great salad and used some of the herbs I grew. I turned off the phone and the computer and lit some candles.
I sat in blissful meditation for a long time and communed with God and I couldn’t have been more content. My restlessness and unease was totally gone.
I was also reminded that “ask and you will receive is not just a bunch of empty words.”
I often think of this day and each time I am filled with peace. Is your cup a little empty? If it is then maybe the thing to do is get back on track with God. He will always answer your requests and help you re-fill the cup of life. It is a good idea to back away from the busyness of life. The world will not stop turning because you didn’t answer the door or the phone or yet another e-mail. In order to effectively
serve others; I have to serve myself first. Do you recall what a cup of coffee or tea looks like when there is just a little left in it and it has been sitting for a while? It is unappetizing with just the dregs left in it. I think you get the picture.

No one can take better care of you than you.
Now fill up that cup!

What is a good day?

Yesterday was a day to be thankful for. I was in good spirits and just happy and feeling blessed. The weather was so beautiful. Cool air prevailed with lots of sunshine. I went to a service at Unity Church and after lunch drove home. I quickly changed clothes, gave Hector his doggie cookie and went outside to just sit and soak
it up for a while.
I was joyous for no reason at all except that I could be that way. I could choose joy.
I know now through my spiritual journey that life is a constant series of choice every single day and no single choice is unimportant. Every choice leads to another experience and another.
I have greatly decreased my television watching and only watch around two hours a day. most of the day the screen is dark so my days are a lot more productive. This is one of my choices. This particular choice has positive results. I am more in a state of awareness in my days without this particular distraction.
I planted a few more things in my garden and admired it for a while. Later on I went to bed early and felt a good tiredness that took me to dream land quickly.
Now some would say that my day sounds boring but I was full of peace and joy all day and if that is boring then I will choose it anytime.
I felt God close to me all day as if he was right by my side and I knew it was because of what I was emotionally expressing through my heart.

A Sleepless Night

Last night I had a very hard time getting to sleep. I remained in that state between sleep and awake for hours. Finally, I got up and went downstairs to read. When I came back to bed sleep alluded me for another hour so this morning I am tired and groggy yet here I am writing something.

What came to me is how prayer is the hidden source of power. I don't think we give prayer the attention it deserves. Prayer is talking to our source in a focused way and allows us to tap into the universal mind.

There are times when I envision my troubles to be little balls of lead in a basket and I just lay the basket at Gods door and leave it. I trust God to help me dispose of what is not for my highest calling.

There are other times when I just lay myself at Gods door to help me look within and fill myself with peace for this day.

A Dog With A Bone

Have you ever seen a dog with a bone? They chew on it for hours. When they are finished chewing on it, they will carry it around so it is close by. After a while, they will chew on it some more. That bone is never far away.

We are like that dog with a bone when we have resentment or anger in our hearts. Not only is it ruining our energy field but it contaminates the energy of all of those around us. Whatever the situation was that caused it is long over but not for that person who still holds it in their heart. They want to be justified in their feelings so it is hashed over and over until the people hearing it realize that it has gone way past what it should be.

Righteous indignation is not a pretty sight. Why do we make such a big deal over small things? There is only one explanation and that is the need to be right. Even if others agree with us that we are justified in our feelings, it is not enough. We continue to carry that bone around. All around us can be wonderful blessings and things that should make us feel joyous but we only see the resentment. We are most certainly not in the now. If someone is petty or hurtful to us and we react in kind we have added to the problem instead of viewing it differently in a spiritual sense
and letting go of it.

Holding onto these kinds of thoughts are most hurtful to the thinker of them and the universal law of attraction will keep sending situations and people to you that will give you cause for more resentment and anger because that is what you are putting out.

Put down the bone and walk away from it. Let it go and watch things unfold for you that is entirely different. If you want peace, then you must become peace first.

A New Awareness of "NOW."

I spent some time with a lovely young woman today. She is educated, polished, driven
and she is very focused right now. We are both speakers and authors and are on the same page with our spiritual beliefs. She has always supported me and been very honest and open. We respect each other. I know we are true friends because she is genuinely happy for any success I may have and continues to share opportunities with me. There is no envy or competition. We don't get to visit often and so we make the time count.

I was very much in the now during the day and felt at peace and I observed her moving and shaking in her world and for a little while in my world. I wish her so much peace and prosperity.

After our meeting this morning which ran a bit long we went to lunch. As we sat there and ate our soup and salad I started to feel a bit sad that our time would be so short
and then I checked myself. Why take away from this beautiful day with those kind of crazy thoughts? I grabbed a hold of my thoughts and changed them to gratitude for the moments. All we have is now! It is all we have!

I was contaminating my present moments with negative emotions and anyway you look at it, that is crazy!
I became present to it and changed the thoughts. I was in control. I was aware of my thoughts. In that moment I felt such a sense of peace wash over me. I am so getting this being in the now stuff. It is a spiritual muscle you should put a little weight around. Oh,and by the way, I changed the thought to gratitude and the emotion changed immediately!

The Power Of Intention and Thought!

I am going to be putting things on my blog more than usual to give you something to look over and then I will slow down but for now I am busy getting it together for you. I just got a call from someone who loves it and asked me why I didn't do this a long time ago and my answer is because I thought I would not have enough skill to go forward with it.
I remember a long time ago convincing myself that learning macrame would be too hard. I wanted to learn this particular skill of tying knots in fancy ways to make things. It excited me at the prospect of being able to do it but I never took any lessons. I felt what was the use.
I felt the classes were too costly and very soon a coupon arrived in the mail for half off the classes. The obstacle was removed. Co-incidence? I think not. Finally, I decided to go for it. I signed up for a local class and the day finally arrived. There was about eight of us in class men and women alike. The instructor was a woman of about thirty and she showed us examples of things that she had made.I was very impressed. Once more that voice rang up inside me that said, "this is beyond you and you are wasting your time and money." The first lesson was how to tie the various knots and we made a plant hanger. What I discovered is I was a natural at this and my fingers flew. It was too easy for me. The next day I purchased what I needed and started designing my own creations. I made hanging chairs, lamp shades and hammocks. I loved it. I put together a few of my own design books and sold them.
I made lovely things for gifts and had a blast doing it.
My point to all of this is when I finally decided to start a blog, it wasn't near as difficult as I thought and I have such a sense of accomplishment and the energy of the feel good feeling is addictive. I am creating and when I am creating I am in such a state of peace and joy.
What are you holding back in terms of creating something? What are the internal voices telling you? This is something I will have to be aware of due to prior conditioning from childhood when I never felt good enough or worthy. This is part of a life long spiritual lesson for me to not listen to the negative inner whispers!I am worthy and I am more than good enough.
God celebrates my accomplishments and guides me forward for more of the same and will do the same for you.

MASTERY JESUS

Rev. Diannia Baty © 2009

To fully understand the message that Jesus taught
you must remember that it was all about love
and forgiveness.
Remember his words,
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
It is not your job to leap into the mind and heart of another and judge their actions,
words and impulses. This is not in your job description.
For as hard as you strive to do this, you will never know what lies there.

His whole life was dedicated to teach us to forgive and to love.
As you walk through the day see Jesus in everyone, see the mind of God
set forth in the creation of another.
Do this silently and reverently remembering that everyone has
a place and purpose on this earth.

Until you finally understand the message that Jesus set forth
you will not know true peace and contentment.
When you do understand and put into practice and awareness
that loving and forgiving is the message
you will be free…
beyond anything you could have dreamed of.
Mastery is understanding that you must learn to forgive
in order to really love.
