Poem For an unborn child named Sire!

Rev. Diannia Baty
I wrote this to take to a baby shower today to honor
the coming birth of a boy child
who will be named Sire...I will frame and mat it!

SIRE
...When you open your eyes upon this world
What will you see and who will you be?

As a spark of God you looked at being born and chose
This woman, named Adrienne to begin your life with.

To fulfill your purpose in life, you knew who your mother should be,
who your teacher would be and sent your spirit there.

You will be born knowing already what so many of us have to learn.

Your eyes will drink in all the beauty and wonder of this earth
And your thirst for knowledge will be mighty.

You come at a time when the world needs great spiritual leaders.
You come at a time when hope and knowledge of God is needed.
You come at the time of the way showers, healers, teachers and light bringers.

It is a time of great love and warriors of the truth of God.

You are special and as a divine piece of God, we welcome you.
And So It Is…
And So It Is…

Bath Time!

Rev. Diannia Baty
Today was bath day for my little Chihuahua...Hector!
He really doesn't care for the getting wet part but he really
likes the drying, scratching and oil rub part.
I clean his ears and give him a treat for being such a good boy for me.
Even if he hears the water running in the tub he will come when I call him with
...his ears down and moving very slowly. He comes right up to me to be lifted in.
I use coconut oil for his dry skin.

It is not a chore for me.
It is not something I have to do.
It is something I want to do.
Perception is everything!
Everything!

Think about something you usually do not like to do
and approach it as something you get to do!
Be grateful for the experience!
Let the source wash over you and fill your cup
and be transformed.

Carolyn, I miss you!

Rev. Diannia Baty
Carolyn, I miss you!
This is about my dear cousin. I love her dearly. She has since passed over into the light. Breast cancer took her away from me. I taught her how to play and be silly again. Okay, I am going to tell on myself. We would drink carbonated soda and have burping contests on long trips. She would giggle like a girl and so would... I.
We took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway one day and at one of the stops there was a gentle rolling hill that had been freshly mowed. I dared her to roll down the hill with me We rolled down the hill at least a dozen times laughing all the time. We were out of breath and happy. She looked into my eyes and told me once again she loved me and there were tears in her eyes. The threat of death was not present at these moments. She was dying and we both knew it. We played until she could not play.
I was determined to squeeze all the moments of joy and happiness that I could during her final months. It is all about the living and not being somber and morose. Those silly happy times sustain me now and bring a smile to my face.
If you know someone who is going through something like this...celebrate life with them and find some joy. It is always there. Watch a three stooges movie with them. Play with the dog together. Blow some bubbles in the park. This is the only way to go as far as I am concerned.
She told me that she never though dying could be so much fun! I will never forget that statement or forget her.

The Donkey In The Well!

This is one of my favorite stories.
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided since the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. So the fa...rmer invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed shovels and began to shovel dirt into the well.

All the other farm animals were very upset about this, because the donkey was their friend. But they discovered there was nothing they could do to help him. At first, when the donkey realized what was happening, he cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.

With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off, and take a step up on the dirt as it piled up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well, and trotted off!

The Moral of the story: Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. But each trouble can be a stepping stone. What happens to you isn't nearly as important as how you react to it. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not giving up! Shake it off, and take a step up!

WANTED>>>SMALL CABIN IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE!

There are days when this big old world and the people in it get to me sometimes and I have to back off and get quiet for a while. These are the days when I want to get a cabin in the woods about 100 miles away from the nearest person or town.
It usually only lasts for a day and I come back to where I am supposed to be.
Then the next day someone will call and need prayer or has issues and wants to set up spiritual coaching sessions or desires a reading and I am back on track.

There are days when even for me meditation and prayer don't do the trick. I always ask God what is it I am supposed to know for my greatest and highest good and eventually the insights and the peace comes to me and I am off and running to the next place I need to be.

I have to honor the fact that what I do can be difficult at times and I need to do like I see my animals do and just relax and do mostly nothing for a while and clear my energy field and get grounded. Those are the days when I can be heard to utter...Peace! Peace! Peace! What better mantra could I have?

My room mate just gives me plenty of space and does her own thing and just a moment ago brought me a small bowl of ice cream that she said was really yummy
and went on her way. It may not seem like a big thing but it was. It was delicious and soothing and I was grateful for her gesture of kindness in the midst of a storm that is passing as I write this.

So to all my fellow spiritual light workers...I advise to take a day when the weight of the world and all the suffering gets to you and allow yourself to recharge and renew. You will come back stronger than ever. When I feel anger or sadness coming on and I just feel I need to tell the next stupid cruel person to kiss my grits,
I know it is time to just be with God for the entire day and night.
Peace, Peace, Peace!

A Huge Gift From God!

Rev. Diannia Baty

Yesterday I took a drive into the mountains to visit a friend I have been looking for for twenty years. Her children now have children of their own and there will soon be a great grandchild born. One of her daughters flew into my arms and hugged me for so very long. As we sat on her porch swing watching the birds and catching up on all the years, I knew so much had not changed and so much had.
We had both taken a spiritual path and had experienced some wonderful things because of it!

Her husband has died so I did not get to re-connect with him. For some reason I was not supposed to. He was very dear to me. Now in our later years we find each other and soon it will be revealed what we will be for each other. With her there was always an unconditional love. So rare these days!

We laughed at some of our memories of things we did together, floating in the pool and eating tomatoes out of the greenhouse, dancing until our legs were
sore, laughing at the antics of her children and the dogs, getting drunk on Saki and watching one of girls getting married, hiking and rock hunting. In no time at all, it was as if we had just seen each other and all the years were wiped away as we found peace and joy in the presence of the other.

I gave her a copy of my book and copies of the two teaching and guided meditation cd's I had done. She looked at me as if this was no surprise to her to find out that I was an author, life coach, public speaker and a spiritual teacher etc. Her quiet acceptance was so loving.

I have missed her, oh God, how I have missed her. God sent to me what I needed and a hole in my heart has been healed! I didn't even know that I needed it! Funny thing is she wanted to find me also.

What a huge gift the universal God has sent to me! I will willingly receive it and claim it!

I always tell my God that I am open and ready to accept anything that is sent for my greatest and highest good. God never fails to amaze me! If God is that amazing then so am I because we are one and I am so grateful that I woke up to that fact!

No Mud Pies For Me!

No Mud Pies For ME!
To all my fellow light workers!
Well, It's happening again. There is a woman in town who barely knows me that has told someone I know very well, to watch himself and to be careful around me. He was gracious enough to tell me what she said. My quandary is how do I approach this to handle it or do I just ignore it and walk away? What is the greatest and highest good here.

The issue at hand is she knows many people and is highly visible in our town. The few times I have been around her I treated her no differently than I do everyone else. A few close friends have told me they feel she is jealous of me and my abilities. Each time something like this happens it is less in its impact on me .

That is the funny thing about life, even if you don't want conflict, it will show up and the trick is what do I do and have I grown enough spiritually to do whatever it is I must do. I was told a long time ago that living in a spiritual awareness did not mean that my life would always be peaches, puppy dogs and roses. I got that and I am okay with it.

The human side fights with the spiritual side constantly and I work hard to be in a state of awareness so I see it when it arrives and respond and not react. There is always a lesson there for me. I realize that to be angry would only mean that my ego had taken hold and was giving mental energy to something with a negative spin. I also know I am not in a category all by myself. There are many others who have this particular issue to overcome.
Thus far I have used what I know has worked in the past, spiritually that is. I took it to God and the Universal Truths. One of those things I must remember is Not to take it personally. Yes, this can be difficult but it can be done! The way I do this is by asking myself this question...

"What is it that hurts so much or is causing such a
fearful place in this person that they must strike out at me
to feel better about themselves?"

I am human and at first my nostrils did flare and a low growl went through my spirit. I moved past that quickly. Wrong vibration, big time! That anger thing only screws with my peace and I give energy to what they are doing or saying. Anger just gives someone else an invisible stick to keep on beating you with.

So there it is in a nutshell and being one that strives hard to practice what I teach...I will let this go...let it slide and send her a blessing and a prayer. I have a life to live and things to do and this beautiful life I have totally deserves my attention.
Play in the mud you get dirty, play with the dogs and you will get fleas.
